Welcome to Mile High City, New Jersey, the city of dreams and home to Brummel University of Technology and Innovation!
Mile High City, New Jersey, was founded in 1906 a mile above the New Jersey coast. The city levitates via the use of electromagnetic Levitronic Engines, which was developed utilizing a combination of James Clerk Maxwell's "A Dynamical Theory of the Electromagnetic Field", Nikola Tesla's wireless energy transmission, and technology that was found during an expedition to the center of the Earth in the late 1870s. While it was being constructed and financed John D. Rockefeller, the city was nicknamed 'The City of Dreams', a secondary name that remains for the city, it has also attracted the disaffected and unemployed who are able to afford the ticket into the city. However, with only finite jobs in the city, these poor and unemployed find themselves in 'South End', a slum on the city's south side.
Locations in Mile High city:
- Brummel University of Technology and Innovation (BUTI)
BUTI was founded in 1906 by Professor Wilhelm Brummel, a pioneer in levitronic technology and partner to Doctor E.M. Happenstance, a leading researcher in new power sources who had studied under Nikola Tesla.
- Aerodrome
With land at a premium in Mile High City, there isn't any room at the Aerodrome for runways, other than a couple very short ones for smaller planes. The majority of air travel to the MHC Aerodrome is via zeppelins and other air-ships.
- South End
South End, as it's known in Mile High City, is the city's slum, this is where the majority of the working class, poor, and criminal element tends to live. Some of the wealthier in Mile High City view south end as a blight on the city, but others see the neighborhood as a needed element in the city.
- Amarante Embassy The tiny nation of Amarante is led by the Crown Prince Jean Pierre St. Sault, who had attended BUTI as a student, graduating with a degree in genetic engineering.
- Holden Building Professor E.M. Happenstance maintains a residence in this building, as do a number of other long-time faculty members from BUTI, the building is located on the wealthier north-side of Mile High City.
